The Commonwealth Bank of Australia has announced the appointment of Anne Templeman-Jones as an independent board director, effective immediately.
Her appointment comes as part of a board renewal that will see the departure of two long-standing independent directors, Andrew Mohl and Brian Long, who will both step down at the conclusion of the bank's 2018 AGM in November.
Templeman-Jones currently serves on the boards of HT&E, GUD Holdings, Citadel Group and WorleyParsons and has been chair of the Commonwealth Bank's financial advice companies since 2015. Previously, she has served as a director of Cuscal, Pioneer Credit, TAL Superannuation Fund and HBF's private health and general insurance companies.
In addition, Templeman-Jones has corporate banking experience gained from the Bank of Singapore and Westpac, and private banking experience from the ANZ Group.
Commenting on her appointment, CBA chair, Catherine Livingstone, said: "It is with great pleasure I welcome Anne as a Director of the Bank. She will bring to the Board experience in the financial services sector, as well as a breadth of risk management expertise, and we look forward to her contribution."
