Implemented Portfolios adds to board

Implemented Portfolios Limited (IPL) has added Steve Garth, former vice president of Dimensional Fund Advisors and current founder and principal at Principia, to its board.

The move comes after the organisation announced they had reached $1.5 billion FUM.

Garth, who holds a PhD in applied mathematics from Australian National University, has had a broad career managing both domestic and global portfolios. He founded Principia earlier this year following more than 19 years with Dimensional where he helped communicate the organisation's investment processes to institutional and adviser clients.

"I am delighted to be joining the Board of Implemented Portfolios as non-executive Director," said Garth. "I look forward to working closely with the rest of the Board and the entire Implemented Portfolios team over the next few years, helping the firm to accelerate its growth and deliver outstanding investment outcomes for financial advisers and their clients."

Executive board chair Greg Kirk said, "This is a significant new addition to our Board and Steve will provide additional strength to our expertise across several strategic disciplines."

IPL also announced several executive appointments including Tahlia Rozis as corporate development associate and Samantha Feeley as portfolio operations assistant.
