IML/Natixis hires sales exec

Zac Wallis has joined the sales team at IML/Natixis Investment Managers, arriving from Neuberger Berman, where he was a senior vice president.

The appointment follows the merger of Natixis Investment Managers and Investors Mutual's marketing and distribution capabilities.

The enhanced distribution platform will provide additional resources for institutional, wholesale and retail clients.

Under the changes, the director of institutional sales Danny King at Natixis was promoted to head of institutional sales late last year.

At the same time, Jason Guthrie - currently head of distribution for IML - was appointed head of wholesale for Natixis, Australia.

Natixis acquired a majority stake in IML in 2017.

Before his two-year stint at Neuberger, Wallis was a strategic account manager at Perpetual Investment Management.

Before that, he was a national key account manager at Bennelong Funds Management.

Earlier in his career, Wallis worked as a research manager with Zurich and a research analyst for Morningstar Research.
