IFM names associate director of responsible investment

IFM Investors has appointed Ashley Kopczynski as associate director of responsible investment.

Kopczynski joins IFM following more than five years with Janus Henderson, the last two as associate portfolio manager for credit and ESG. He previously spent nearly nine years with Perennial Investment Partners as a credit and quantitative analyst. He started his career in business development with Plum Financial Services, where he spent just over five years.

Responsible investment is not just his job description but an area of passion for Kopczynski, who said, "Society has many challenges and the investment industry can play a big part in progressing us towards a more cleaner, greener, and equitable future.

"I believe we simply have no alternative but to integrate ESG factors along with a sustainable investment mindset into all investment decision making."

Kopczynski started his new role in late June.
