iExtend has recruited a finance chief, adding further experience and rigour to the leadership team.
Michael Edwin brings considerable skills to iExtend, having worked with companies ranging from start-ups to multinationals.
He most recently served as the head of financial control and head of tax at Axi Financial Services and earlier managed the tax functions of Equifax Australia and New Zealand.
Ewin has also worked at Deloitte and KPMG.
iExtend chief executive David Sarkis said the appointment reflects iExtend's ongoing commitment to bringing a robust, innovative, and process-driven offer to the market.
"We are thrilled to welcome Michael to iExtend as we continue on our growth trajectory and explore our licensing options with ASIC,' Sarkis said.
"This is an exciting time in our journey, and we are confident we have put in place a strong offer that can help policyholders retain their valued life insurance policies."
Sarkis added that iExtend will become licensed this year and that holding an Australian Financial Services Licence will substantially expand its growth opportunities.
"We see { the license} as a further endorsement of our offering, our business and our mission."
