IAG CEO to step down
The Board of Insurance Australia Group Limited (IAG) has announced the retirement of Mike Wilkins as managing director and CEO, effective 16 November 2015, with current CEO of IAG Labs - Peter Harmer, announced as his replacement. Wilkins, who has led IAG for more than seven years, will remain in an executive capacity until 31 March 2016.
Wilkins joined IAG as chief operating officer in November 2007 before being appointed managing director and CEO in May 2008.
He thanked his team and the IAG Board for their support and hard work during his time as CEO.
"It has been an honour to lead IAG and help the company provide great service to the millions of customers who rely on us every day. I am leaving with a great sense of pride in what we have accomplished in our local markets and with our steady expansion into Asia."
