Hyperion appoints new Equity Dealer

Australian equities manager Hyperion Asset Management (Hyperion) has appointed Justin Breen an an equity dealer.

Prior to joining Hyperion, Breen was a derivatives trader at ERM Power Limited, a listed, integrated, energy company.

Commenting on the appointment, Hyperion managing director Tim Samway said: "Justin is an experienced trader with an impressive track record and we are fortunate to be able to bring him on-board."

Breen added: "Hyperion's investment philosophy and long history of producing strong returns for investors were the key factors behind my decision to join the team. The opportunity to trade global markets and analyse businesses is very appealing, and I'm looking forward to being part of Hyperion's collaborative and high performing investment team."

Breen's appointment, effective 4 July 2016, will allow dealer and investment analyst Michael Mewburn to move to a full-time analytical role in Hyperion's investment team.
