Hunter Hall appoints Interim CIO

James McDonald has been appointed as interim chief investment officer at Hunter Hall, effective immediately, following the announcement that Peter Hall, the firm's founder, CEO & CIO, has resigned and will depart by June 2017.

McDonald has 19 years' experience in global equity markets. He has been a portfolio manager at Hunter Hall since 2003, deputy CIO since 2011, and fund manager for the firm's Global Equities Trust and Hunter Hall Global Value Limited since 2013 and 2015 respectively.

Deputy CEO Paula Ferrao has stepped into the role of interim CEO while the search for both a new CEO and CIO is underway.
