Tim Steele, MLC's head of retirement and investment solutions, has landed as chief executive of Class, the SMSF administration provider acquired by HUB24 in February.

Steele replaces HUB24 director of strategic development Jason Entwhistle who has been acting chief executive while the firm hunted for a new head.

He joins from Credas Solutions, a consulting and advisory firm where he landed after leaving MLC in mid-2021.
Before that, he also served as general manager, NAB Financial Planning and NAB Direct Advice for almost four years.

Earlier, he spent eight years at AMP, initially as a director of AMP Horizons and then as managing director of ipac and Genesys Wealth Advisers.

In the new role, Steele will report directly to HUB24 managing director and chief executive Andrew Alcock who acknowledged the recruit's experience in leading teams and delivering customer-centric solutions.

"I am delighted to welcome Tim to Class to lead the business forward as we focus on delivering great customer outcomes and enhancing Class's already market-leading SMSF documents and corporate compliance solutions," he said.

Steele joins ahead of the launch of a new SMSF product leveraging the expertise of all three HUB24, NowInfinity and Class teams.
