Head of Global Fixed Income & Credit departs CFSGAM

Colonial First State Global Asset Management (CFSGAM) has confirmed the departure of head of global fixed income and credit Tony Adams, as well as two other members of the fixed income team.

Adams, who was previously a senior portfolio manager with the firm, was appointed co-head of global fixed interest and credit in July 2008 before being appointed as the sole head in December 2012.

In a statement, the firm said:

"CFSGAM confirms effective immediately some changes to the structure of the Fixed Income team. These changes are a direct result of our continued focus on building a high quality global fixed income platform to meet the evolving and increasingly diverse needs of our clients and to ensure that our best investment thinking, regardless of where it occurs, is applied for the benefit of our clients.

"As a result, Tony Adams, Annette Mullen and Francois Kong have left CFSGAM. We thank them for many years of service to our clients and business and wish them well in the future."
