Credit Suisse Australia has hired Hamish Whitehead to lead the equity capital markets team.
In the new role, Whitehead will also play a senior leadership role in Melbourne client coverage together with vice-chairman, Peter Scott and co-head of investment banking and capital markets Australia, Angelo Scasserra.
Whitehead joins from Citigroup where he held a similar position - running the equity capitals team.
Before joining Citigroup, Whitehead was head of equity syndicate, Deutsche Bank ANZ and has also held several senior equity sales and sales trading roles with Deutsche Bank.
The Swiss banking giant said he brings extensive ECM advisory and syndication credentials to our team, including longstanding relationships with major ASX corporations and institutional investors.
Whitehead has considerable experience across major IPOs, follow-on raisings, block trades, convertible bond issuance, capital management and corporate derivative transactions,
Key IPOs he has worked on include Medibank Private, Meridian Energy, Judo Bank and Dalrymple Bay Infrastructure.
