GPT adds director with significant banking, finance experience

Robert Whitfield has joined the board of GPT Group.

Whitfield is currently on the board of CBA and a director at TCorp. He was previously secretary of the NSW Treasury and for NSW Industrial Relations.

Notably, Whitfield spent more than 30 years with Westpac, holding senior roles including CEO of the institutional bank, chief risk officer, group treasurer, and chair of the Asia advisory board.

GPT Chair Vickki McFadden was pleased to welcome Whitfield to the board. "Rob's appointment continues our process of Board renewal and Rob's extensive experience in banking, finance and the public sector will be a most valuable contribution to the Board, enhancing the Board's skills and experience."

Whitfield replaces Gene Tilbrook, who will retire as a director for GPT Group by the end of the calendar year.
