The Association of Financial Advisers Australia (AFA) has announced the departure of general manager, policy, professionalism & marketing, Samantha Clarke, effective May 2017.

Clarke leaves the role to focus on her business, Advice RegTech, which she co-founded in February 2017.

Prior to joining the AFA in October 2015, Clarke was consulting in B2B FinTech development, supporting adviser efficiency and small business growth. She has 25 years' financial services experience and previously held leading roles with AMP, Macquarie, Rothschild and MLC.

Her successor is former AFA chief operating officer (2011-2015), Philip Anderson, who joins from netwealth, where he was most recently the dealer group's head of governance and advice.
