Global X ETFs Australia has hired two new executives as it ramps up its local business.

Marc Jocum has joined as product and investment strategist along with Todd Surace landing as senior business development manager.

Jocum arrives from five years at Stockspot -  the country's largest and fastest growing online investment advisory (robo-advice) service

At the time of his departure, he was senior manager of investments and business Initiatives at the low-fee service.

Previously he spent almost four years at AMP as a superannuation and investment platforms analyst.

Meantime, Surace landed from Tribeca Investment Partners, where he was investor relations manager for two and a half years.

Before that, he spent about the same time at La Trobe Financial as a senior account manager for private wealth.

Surace has also worked as a regional manager at XTB: Australian Corporate Bond Company and an annuity consultant at Challenger Limited.

"Great having you join the team, Todd. Welcome aboard," said Global X ETF Australia chief executive Evan Metcalf on social media.

Separately, Global X ETFs - the US$39 billion asset manager owned by Mirae Asset Global Investments - has replaced its chief executive officer with an interim leader from the parent company.

Luis Berruga recently departed after five years as chief executive of the New York-based company.
