Genworth names KPMG partner, Challenger director as CEO

Lenders mortgage insurance provider Genworth has named Pauline Blight-Johnston as their new CEO. She takes over from acting CEO Duncan West, who will remain an independent member of the organisation's board.

Blight-Johnston has significant experience in experience around the insurance sector, starting as an actuary and holding investment banking positions with MLC Life, Asteron, and Morgan Stanley.

Most recently, Blight-Johnston was AMP's group executive for the insurance and superannuation space. She was named a director at Challenger in 2017 and partner at KPMG in October of last year.
