Gail Pemberton joins Link board

Link Group has confirmed the appointment of a new independent non-executive director.

Gail Pemberton will join the board effective from January 8 where she brings over 35 years' experience in in bank and wealth management.

She is also a specialist in technology and operations.

Before adopting a career serving on boards, she was operating chief at BNP Paribas' London office and chief executive of Paribas, Australia and New Zealand.

She was previously the group chief information lead and chief operating officer at Macquarie Bank's financial services group.

Pemberton is chair of FleetPartners Group and Prospa Group, the non-bank lender.

The incoming director also sits on the boards of HSBC Bank Australia and Symbio Holding.

In welcoming her to the board, Link Group chairman Michael Carapiet said she would make a great contribution to the board.

"Gail's knowledge of Australia's technology and financial services sector will enhance our board greatly," he said.
