Future Fund Director departs

The Future Fund, Australia's sovereign wealth fund, has announced that Steven Harker has completed his five year term as a director on the Board of Guardians, effective April 2017.

Harker is the former CEO of Morgan Stanley Australia and was previously chair of the Australian Financial Markets Association. In 2015 he was inducted into the Stockbrokers Association Hall of Fame.

In a acknowledging his contribution to the Future Fund, chair and former Federal treasurer, Peter Costello, said: "Steven Harker...brought tremendous experience and understanding of global financial markets and investment management, and played a pivotal role in shaping our investment portfolio. I thank him for his service."
