Funds SA appoints Ellerston CIO as director

The $40 billion South Australian public-sector fund, Funds SA has added Christopher Hall to its board effective this month.

Currently Ellerston Capital's investment chief, Hall brings extensive knowledge and experience in investment and funds management and sits on several board investment committees.

Before joining Ellerston three years ago, he was managing director and senior portfolio manager at Blackrock Asset Management in Hong Kong where he oversaw the Asian fundamental equities team.

Before that, Hall spent more than ten years as head of investment at Argo Investments Limited, managing Australian equities.

He has also worked at Goldman Sachs, JB Were, and National Asset Management.

Commenting on the appointment, Funds SA chief executive Jo Townsend said: "Christopher Hall's extensive investment industry experience is a valuable addition to our board, and we look forward to his contribution to the continuing growth of our organisation over the next three years."
