Funds SA Portfolio Manager departs

Funds SA has confirmed to Industry Moves the departure of Simon James from his role as portfolio manager, effective March 2018.

According to Funds SA, James has departed the $30 billion fund, after 11 years of service, to travel and seek other experiences.

Commenting on his departure, Funds SA CEO, Jo Townsend, said to Industry Moves: "Simon has been a valuable member of the investment team for a long period of time. He is a great example of the value of our graduate program, and has contributed significantly to the successful results of the team and the organisation. Whilst we are disappointed to be losing Simon, we wish him all the best in his travels and professional endeavours."

A replacement for James will be announced in due course.
