Funds SA names new CEO

Funds SA has announced the appointment of Jo Townsend as CEO. Townsend has more than 20 years' experience working in the superannuation and investment management sectors, most recently in senior executive roles at REST Industry Super, including that of general manager, investments. In October 2014 she was appointed as REST's acting chief operating officer.

Townsend replaces former Funds SA CEO Richard Smith who retired in January 2015. Funds SA chief financial officer John Piteo had been acting in the role since Richard Smith's departure.
