Commenting on the appointment, Funds SA chief executive officer John Piteo said; "to attract someone of Simon's experience and calibre to the organisation is a wonderful opportunity for Funds SA.

Piteo stated that the firm's technology architecture and capabilities are crucial in delivering strong, long-term investment outcomes for clients.

"Next stop: Australia, to be closer to family and the sun," Boyley posted on social media.

"I can't wait to apply what I've learned in London to new challenges in Adelaide.
