Funds SA appoints new Chair

Funds SA has announced the appointment of Paul Laband as chair of the $30 billion fund, effective mid-July 2018.

Laband, who joined the Funds SA board in April 2016, has experience in global portfolio management, leadership of investment management companies, and leadership of asset consulting businesses.

In accepting his appointment, Laband said: "I am delighted and honoured to take on the role as Chair of Funds SA. I look forward to continuing to work with the Board and Management at what is a very exciting time for this substantial funds management organisation based in Adelaide, and investing on the global stage."

He will be joined at Funds SA by new board-appointee, Judith Smith.

Smith fills the vacancy left by former chair, Kevin Foley.
