Funds SA appoints assistant PM

Funds SA has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Paine as an assistant portfolio manager.

Paine joins from Mercer Australia, where she worked for seven years and most recently held the role of principal consultant.

Previously, she spent two years with KPMG as a risk consultant.

She holds the CFA qualification and has experience working with a range of institutional clients on a breadth of investment matters.

Funds SA is the investment corporation owned by the Government of South Australia, managing investment portfolios on behalf of the state's public sector superannuation funds and approved public authorities across a range of different sectors, with funds under management in excess of $40 billion.

Commenting on the appointment, Funds SA chief executive officer Jo Townsend, said: "The appointment of Lizzy is a valuable addition to our investment staff where she will be an important part of our equities team.

"I am delighted that she has joined Funds SA in this role."
