Frontier has named Megan Mulia as its new head of strategy to help fuel its push into new markets.

Mulia replaces Michael Sofer who left the asset consultant in January to join the Future Fund as director of investment systems management.

She brings 25 years of experience in strategy, business leadership, consulting, and technology roles - fourteen of those years spent in Asia.

Mulia arrives from Data Action, a fintech that provides core banking and digital solutions to the challenger and neobank sector.

She was general manager of strategy and marketing at the financial services and technology for two years.

Previously, she worked at PwC, Asialink Business, KPMG, Bloomberg, and Thomson Reuters.

Frontier sees the role as critical in not only helping the firm capitalise on its recent growth momentum and traditional business lines but in driving expansion into new markets.

The asset consultant has grown its client base by almost a quarter since July 2021, including securing five new superannuation fund clients among a dozen new long-term engagements.

The firm also gained its first offshore client in 2021 with an appointment in New Zealand.

Frontier chief Andrew Polson said Mulia's Asian strategy experience, her experience in providing strategic direction to fintechs, her consulting background, and her experience with institutional clients made her an excellent appointment.

"Our current strategy is already well developed, and on track, but I'm confident Megan will not only do a great job in driving its delivery but also in refining and expanding our aspirations and plans," said Polson.

Frontier plans to announce several other appointments in the coming weeks.
