Shahana Mukherjee will join Frontier's macro and quant analytics team.
Mukherjee will work within Frontier's capital markets and asset allocation team.
She joins from Moody's Analytics where she was assistant director and economist covering the APAC region.
Frontier has further boosted its capital markets and asset allocation operation with two internal appointments.
Donna Davis will focus on portfolio construction, while Vivian Xu will take up a permanent role after completing a PhD internship with Frontier.
At the same time, Frontier has also restructured its capital markets and asset allocation function.
Phil Naylor will head up the business with responsibility across dynamic asset allocation, portfolio construction, and macro and quant analytics.
Naylor will continue to report to Frontier's director of investment strategy, Chris Trevillyan.
Trevillyan will remain chair of the investment committee.
Frontier chief executive, Andrew Polson, said there is no doubt that the work carried out for clients in developing and refining investment strategy is critical and valued.
"That thinking is powered by strong research and analysis of capital markets.
"We've built very strong quant capability around Phil, and we're excited about the breadth and depth of work the team will be able to produce," he said.
"Shahana is the latest example of that. She will be a great addition to our team."
Frontier has been steadily growing its team in Sydney with four senior appointments this year.
