Franklin Templeton boosts sales team

Franklin Templeton Australia has appointed Michael Bowen as a sales director leading several New South Wales-based accounts, including private banks and independent financial advisers.

Reporting to Felicity Walsh, head of sales at Franklin Templeton, Bowen joins from Investors Mutual where he was a relationship manager,

Before that, he worked at PineBridge Investments as vice president of wholesale and private wealth.

Earlier, he held senior business development roles at Shed Enterprises and the Rainmaker Group.

Walsh said Bowen is a great fit for Franklin Templeton's culture, which revolves around active engagement with clients and being passionate about helping advisers find the right investment solutions for their clients.

"He will provide critical depth to the team as we continue to offer an expanded suite of investment strategies, including the growth of alternatives capabilities," she said.

Matthew Harrison, managing director of Franklin Templeton Australia and New Zealand, said the manager's distribution team is well-positioned to assist clients in creating sustainable businesses.
