Former TCorp risk chief joins investment manager

Mark Swan has joined specialist investment manager Darling Macro as chief risk officer.

Swan spent more than 14 years with the NSW Treasury Corporation, including nearly five years as chief risk officer. He also has income portfolio management and credit risk experience with AMP Capital, Schroders Investment Management, and with Challenger.

"Mark has unique experience as a hands-on manager of portfolio risk and more recently as a senior risk and compliance executive," said Mark Beardow and Greg Burke, co-CIOs at Darling Macro. "We are strong believers in the importance of risk management and are thrilled that Mark has joined as Chief Risk Officer."

Founded in 2017, Darling Macro specialises in liquid alternatives. The Darling Macro Fund (Class A) was launched in April 2019 and generated 12% after fees over 12 months to 31 March 2020.
