Former Pillar CEO joins Managed Accounts Holdings

Managed Accounts Holdings (Managed Accounts) has announced the appointment of Peter Brook to its board, effective April 2017.

Brook was most recently the managing director and CEO of Pillar Administration (Pillar), before his departure in January 2017 following the sale of Pillar to Mercer in December 2016.

Brook has 40 years' industry experience, including as CFO of StatePlus (formerly State Super Financial Services) and having held roles with Alinta Energy, Challenger Financial Services, MLC and Grant Thornton.

In a statement to the ASX, Managed Accounts said that Brook's appointment will aid the firm's transition into its next stage of growth, including an ongoing push into the retail personal super sector.

Commenting on the appointment, Managed Accounts chair, Don Sharp, said: "Peter's vast experience will prove to be a major asset for Managed Accounts as we embark on a range of new initiatives this year. His insight into technology, personal super and engagement will be particularly valuable."

Brook added: "My experience at Pillar has made me highly attuned to the changing needs of investors and the way that technology can help to deliver better outcomes."
