Former Perpetual equities exec joins AMP Super boards

The boards responsible for AMP Superannuation have announced that Cathy Doyle has been appointed as an independent director.

Doyle has more than 25 years' experience in the finance, superannuation and consumer services sectors, holding senior roles at McDonalds Australia, BNP Paribas, CBA, Qantas, NRMA and Perpetual, where she led the equities team. She has also served as a board director for both listed and not-for-profit organisations.

She is joined at AMP by fellow new independent director, Tony Brain, former head of risk management at AustralianSuper.

Doyle and Brain will sit on the boards of AMP Superannuation Ltd and N.M. Superannuation Pty Ltd, both of which govern AMP's superannuation funds.

Commenting on their appointments, AMP Superannuation Ltd chair, Rick Allert, said: "We're delighted to welcome Cathy and Tony to the boards. Both have considerable experience in the superannuation industry and will help ensure AMP's superannuation funds are governed in the best interests of our members."
