Former Olympic swimming champion joins Austock

Financial services group, Austock, has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of former Olympic swimming champion, Grant Hackett, as general manager of distribution, effective September 2017.

In this role, Hackett is responsible for building out the sales team and rebranding Austock, and the product relaunch, which is set to go ahead in December 2017.

Most recently, Hackett was the head of priority markets at Westpac, a role he held from 2012. He first joined Westpac in 2008, as a private banker, and since then has held the roles of head of growth segments and head of sports and entertainment. Previously, he spent three years as a director of Regal Funds Management.

Commenting on his appointment at Austock, executive chair, Rob Coombe, said: "We are excited to have Grant on board and he is already making a significant contribution to the team."
