Former Mirvac CEO joins Macquarie board

Former Mirvac boss and president of Chief Executive Women Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz has joined the Macquarie Group board.

She will also likely be appointed to the Macquarie Bank, effective 28 July 2023.

Viewed as one of the most influential people in the commercial property sector, Lloyd-Hurwitz brings significant global investment and real estate sector expertise to the boards.

Loyd-Hurwitz has had a long corporate and community career that spans more than 30 years of experience in Australia, Europe and the USA.

She was previously the managing director of Europe at LaSalle Investment Management and before that held senior executive roles at Macquarie Group and Lend Lease around the world.

Most recently, she served as the chief executive of Mirvac for more than a decade.

She is currently a trustee of the Sydney Opera House Trust and chair of the Australian National Housing Supply & Affordability Council.

She previously sat on the board of the Business Council of Australia
