Former Lazard CEO joins Lakehouse board

The Motley Fool-owned Lakehouse Capital has hired Rob Prugue as a non-executive director.

Prugue is well known in the Australian investment industry for his 15-year stint as chief executive of Lazard Asset Management Asia Pacific and his work since as a principal consultant at Callidum Investment Research.

Before taking on the top job at Lazard, back in 2002, Prugue spent four years as head of research at asset consulting firm van Eyk where he ran asset allocation and other dynamic investment decision disciplines.

Previously, he served as head of international equities at NSW State Super and had a similar role at AMP Investments.

Regarding directorships, Prugue chairs People Reaching Out to People -  an organisation that promotes mental health education and awareness.

He is also an executive committee member of Suicide Prevention Australia.

Lakehouse Capital founder and investment chief Donny Buchanan said Prague's appointment is evidence of the growth of the business and a serious commitment to strong governance.

The firm - which manages $476 million - offers the Lakehouse Global Growth and Lakehouse Small Companies funds.
