Former Investors Mutual portfolio manager launches Vertium Asset Management

In partnership with Copia Investment Partners, Jason Teh has founded Australian equity income boutique, Vertium Asset Management, effective July 2017.

The firm is based in Sydney with Teh taking on the role of chief investment officer. In this role, he leads Vertium's investment team and is responsible for the firm's investment philosophy, process and portfolio management.

Teh has around 20 years' Australian equity investment management experience. Prior to establishing Vertium, he was a senior portfolio manager at Investors Mutual where he was the architect of the Investors Mutual Equity Income Fund which he managed for almost six years. At Investors Mutual he held a variety of roles including managing a share of the Investors Mutual's Australian Share Fund, and as an equity analyst and senior quantitative analyst.

Rounding out the Vertium team is Sam Dyson and Daniel Mueller, who have both joined as portfolio managers/equity analysts, and Trent Crawley, who has been appointed as an equity analyst.
