Former head of equities at QIC joins Jacobi Strategies

Jacobi Strategies has confirmed the appointment of Rob Wood as managing director of the firm's Australian operations and as a senior member of Jacobi's investment team.

Founded in 2014 by Tony Mackenzie, the Silicon Valley-based firm provides a cloud based modelling and analytics service for custom development of multi-asset, multi-strategy investment portfolios. It is used by asset managers, endowments, pension funds and wealth managers.

Wood joins Jacobi with over 30 years' industry experience, most recently as head of equities at QIC.

Commenting on the appointment, Mackenzie said: "Jacobi is bringing together leading global investment professionals with world class engineers to build a platform for the future of investment management. We are excited to add someone with Rob's extensive experience to the team to help lead this mission."
