Former Eaton Vance Australia Insto Head joins Pinnacle

Pinnacle Investment Management has announced the appointment of Duncan Hodnett as director of institutional distribution.

In this new Sydney-based role, Hodnett will report to Pinnacle's executive director and head of institutional and international sales, Andrew Chambers, and be responsible for developing business opportunities for the firm both in Australia and overseas.

Hodnett has more than 15 years' distribution experience in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Europe. Before joining Pinnacle, he spent almost eight years at Eaton Vance, the last four of which as head of institutional business in Australia, having relocated from the firm's London office in December 2014. He also previously worked at Macquarie Funds Group in Australia and Europe, and before that with BTIM in Australia.

In welcoming him to Pinnacle, Chambers said: "I am thrilled that Duncan has decided to join the Pinnacle team at such an important time given the significant growth trajectory of our business."

He added: "Duncan's strong work ethic, sales track record and substantial experience working with investment leaders within a multi-affiliate model both domestically and offshore will make him a significant asset to our team."

A spokesperson for Eaton Vance has confirmed that Louise Bradshaw will continue to provide service to clients from Eaton Vance's office in Sydney.
