Former ASFA CEO joins Mercer Super board

Mercer has announced the appointment of Pauline Vamos as an independent director of the Mercer Superannuation (Australia) Limited (MSAL) board, effective 1 July 2017.

Vamos has held a number of executive and board positions within the financial services industry. She was most recently the chief executive officer for the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA), stepping down in June 2016 after eight and a half years in the role. Prior to this, she was a director of financial services regulation - licensing and business operations at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

Commenting on her appointment to the MSAL board, chair, Jan Swinhoe, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Pauline to the Board. Her appointment delivers a strong message that we are committed to building our expertise in the superannuation space."
