Former AMP Capital senior exec launches consultancy

Doug Talbot has confirmed to Industry Moves the launch of his new firm 1886 Consulting, effective August 2019.

Talbot previously spent two decades at AMP Capital, most recently as director of strategy & investment services, and previously in roles including chief operating officer, investments and director of business operations and transformation.

On the launch of 1886, which takes its name from the year Arthur D Little is alleged to have become the first management consultant, Talbot said: "After nearly two decades of working on, leading or sponsoring change programs I am convinced investment and wealth managers, asset owners and custody administrators have an increasing need for outside expertise to successfully deliver their change agenda."
