Fitzpatricks Private Wealth CEO takes on Executive Director role

Fitzpatricks Group has announced that John Woodley has stepped down as chief executive officer of Fitzpatricks Private Wealth and moved into the role of executive director.

In this new role, Woodley, who has been a director of the Fitzpatricks Group since 2000 and chief executive of its Private Wealth business since 2008, will be responsible for overseeing advice across the group, with a strategic focus on mentoring and coaching advisers.

Commenting on the change, group chief executive officer, John McMurdo, said: "Our advisers highly value the strategic coaching and mentoring provided by John Woodley. To meet this demand, John will now focus on how we help advisers build great client outcomes for their clients."

He added: "Many licensees do not have the resources to invest in high quality coaching and mentoring services, but this is an area we believe we can show industry changing leadership."

Succeeding Woodley as CEO is former general manager of Garvan and MLC Financial Planning, Matthew Fogarty.
