Fitzpatricks adds to advisory team

Fitzpatricks Private Wealth has strengthened its advice team by hiring Brisbane-based financial adviser Rocco Costa.

In his new role, Costa will work with Brisbane-based professionals, executives, and high-net-worth individuals.

He joins from Brisbane-based Tupicoffs where he was a financial planner for five years and an active contributor to its investment committee.

Before that Costa did an eight-year stint as a business analyst with the Queensland government.

Fitzpatricks principal and lead adviser Hayden Griffiths welcomed him to the group.

"We are pleased to have Rocco on board, and we welcome him to the team. His emotional intelligence skills and technical expertise in developing complex strategies will be of immediate benefit to our private wealth clients," he said.

"This also demonstrates a philosophical and cultural alignment that is paramount to delivering our lead adviser style of advice."

Commenting on his appointment Costa said: "My priority has always been to make a meaningful, positive difference in my client's lives while developing myself professionally and this aligns with the Fitzpatricks lead adviser model.

Speaking of his time with the Queensland government, he pointed to the overlap between his skill set as a business analyst and financial planning.

"It was about helping people identify where they currently are, where they want to be, and helping to find ways for them to get there."
