First State Super Deputy CEO joins FEAL board
The Fund Executives Association Ltd (FEAL) has announced the appointment of Graeme Arnott, deputy CEO of First State Super, to its board of directors.
Arnott is joined by fellow new board appointee Ross Piper. Arnott fills a vacancy on the FEAL board, whereas Piper replaces Doug Carmichael, who has stepped down following his recent retirement from Commonwealth Bank Group Super.
Commenting on Arnott's experience, in addition to his roles at both First State Super and as the former CEO of StatePlus, chair of FEAL Jane Perry said: "Graeme is also a Fellow of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia and has been an active and passionate advocate for improving education and professional standards in financial planning."
She added of both new appointees: "Graeme and Ross have had long careers in superannuation and the not-for-profit sector - across a range of organisations and funds - and have a deep understanding of how best to offer our members professional development and education - and a new perspective on what such initiatives might look like."
