Experienced director Sue Carter has stepped down from the First State Super board following the completion of its merger with VicSuper.

Carter first joined First State Super as a director in 2012. She is also currently the chair of BlackRock's compliance committee and director of ANZ's Australian Staff Superannuation Trustee. She's held roles in the past with the Treasury Corporation of Victoria and Australian Psychological Society.

Joining the new board from VicSuper include Gabrielle Bell, Patricia Faulkner, Antoinette Masiero, and Travis Bates. Sue Carter and Rod Harty have stepped down.

"Prior to the merger, it was agreed that the composition of our Board would reflect the membership of the merged fund," said chair Neil Cochrane. "We are pleased to welcome four VicSuper directors to the Board and acknowledge with gratitude the contribution of those VicSuper Directors and First State Super Directors who now step down following the successful merger."
