First State Super appoints Senior Investment Analyst

First State Super has confirmed the recent integration of Jennifer Cowan into its investment team as a senior investment analyst. This follows the $84 billion fund's 2016 acquisition of StatePlus.

In this role, she works within the fund's income and real assets team.

Previously, Cowan was an investment specialist at StatePlus, a role she commenced in April 2015. Prior to this, she was an investment strategist at GESB, responsible for formulating and managing GESB's infrastructure asset class strategy. She also previously held roles with Ernst & Young, Hunter Hall, Mercer and FuturePlus Financial Services.

At First State Super, she is joined by four former StatePlus employees: Jason Jin, Andrew Schiling, Mark Vrkic and Jo Cornwell, plus one new hire, Dr Shang Wu, who all join as senior investment analysts.
