First State Super adds to growth team

First State Super has confirmed to Industry Moves the recent integration of Mark Vrkic into its investment team as a senior investment analyst. This follows the $84 billion fund's 2016 acquisition of financial planning firm, StatePlus.

In his new role at First State Super, Vrkic works within the fund's growth team.

Previously, he was an investment specialist with StatePlus, a role he held from May 2017. Prior to this, he spent ten years with BT Investment Solutions as a portfolio manager for global equities, and also held roles with IOOF Investment Management and Bridges Financial Services.

At First State Super, he is joined by four former StatePlus employees: Jennifer Cowan, Jo Cornwell and Jason Jin, who all join as senior investment analysts, and Andrew Schiling, who joins as an investment analyst, plus one new hire, Dr Shang Wu.
