First Sentier hires institutional sales lead

First Sentier Investors has appointed Kevin Kandasamy as head of institutional distribution for Australia and New Zealand, hiring from Dimensional.

Reporting to Lauren Prendiville, the firm's head of distribution for the region, Kandasamy will lead First Sentier's institutional sales strategy and deepen and expand institutional client and consultant relationships in Asia Pacific.

Kandasamy worked at Dimensional Fund Advisors for 17 years.

He was most recently co-head of the firm's client group but earlier served as head of institutional for Australia and regional director of institutional.

First Sentier recently announced a strategic partnership with AlbaCore Capital Group to include alternative credit capabilities in its investment offering.
