First Sentier appoints Responsible Investment Specialist

First Sentier Investors (formerly Colonial First State Global Asset Management) has announced the expansion of its responsible investment team with the appointment of Kate Turner as responsible investment specialist.

Turner has expertise in responsible and sustainable investments, along with commercial and environmental, social and governance (ESG) data and analytical experience, the firm said.

She joins from Sustainalytics where she served as an associate director leading the firm's business in Australia and New Zealand. Previously she held roles at ICBC Standard Bank Plc in London and Baker & McKenzie in Sydney.

In her new Sydney-based role, Turner will report to First Sentier Investors' London-based global head of responsible investment, Will Oulton.

In welcoming her to the team, Oulton said: "Kate will play an integral role in supporting our investment teams, and working with our clients and other stakeholders in Australia and New Zealand, as we communicate our approach and progress in integrating responsible investment across the business."
