Tiffany Au Yong will join First Australians Capital as portfolio manager of a new fund, the First Australians Capital Catalytic Impact.

This fund is the evolution of its indigenous enterprise concept fund that has been running since 2021.

In the new role, she will oversee the investment portfolio's performance and direction to enable the fund to meet its ten-year strategic objectives for indigenous economic development.

Au Yong's appointment brings the investment team to four.

She will also work closely with the impact team that focuses on unlocking market opportunities for indigenous businesses and determines the appropriate portfolio weighting balancing obligations to support our communities and contribute to positive impact.

Au Jong has spent many years in the superannuation industry, arriving from Catholic Church Insurance, where she held a similar position.

She was an investment analyst at VicSuper as it merged with First State Super to create Aware Super and worked at Frontier as an investment associate.

Earlier she held accounting roles at Bennelong Funds Management and IOOF.

First Australians Capital plans to grow  funds under management to $250 million to unlock more capital for the indigenous business sector.
