Ex-Perpetual exec joins JP Morgan AM

J.P. Morgan Asset Management has recruited Aaron Russell to lead high-net-worth distribution in Australia and New Zealand.

This is a newly created position reporting to Mark Carlile, head of wholesale for Australia and New Zealand.

With over 20 years of experience in the financial services and asset management distribution industry in Australia and the UK, Russell most recently served as the national director at Perpetual Asset Management Australia.

There, he managed the distribution team to support private banks, multi-family offices and high-net-worth individuals.

Before that, Russell held various senior distribution roles at Nikko Asset Management, Vanguard and MLC Asset Management.

He started his career as a financial planner in the United Kingdom and worked as an equities investments specialist with Charles Schwab Stockbrokers before moving to business development roles.
