Industry Moves understands that Andrew Mathie has joined Atticus Wealth as head of distribution.
Mathie was most recently the head of wholesale distribution for Fidelity International. Before that he held division management roles at Macquarie, looking after banking and financial services, and was a senior key account manager at Vanguard. He's also held roles with BT and St. George's Bank.
In comments to Financial Standard, Mathie said, "Clearly there has been a structural shift out of institutional licensees towards IFAs. Managed accounts were growing pre-COVID but they have become even more important for advisers since then.
"In setting up new SMAs, we work with advice businesses to clarify their investment philosophy, develop an investment strategy and assist them in building a portfolio. They will be responsible for identifying and choosing the underlying managers where we can help with due diligence."
Atticus Wealth was founded in 2015. They offer direct ownership as well as separately managed accounts for financial advisers.
