ESSSuper, the $27 billion industry super fund for emergency services and state government employees, has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of Daniel Selioutine as the fund's new head of investments. In his new role, Selioutine will lead the investment team responsible for the ESSSuper Accumulation Fund.
Selioutine joins from Frontier Advisors, where he spent eight years in a number of roles, including as head of currency. He was also a member of the capital markets, asset allocation and quantitative solutions teams.
Selioutine succeeds Matthew Kempton, who departed as the fund's head of investments in February 2018 after five years in the role. Alister Wong, an investment manager with the fund since 2014, had been acting head of investments since Kempton's departure and has recently taken up a new position with Australia Post.
