Equity Trustees hires from Warakirri

The ASX-listed trustee has continued the expansion of its asset management team by hiring a responsible investment lead.

Dilan Ashton has been appointed to the newly created role of general manager, responsible investing reflecting the firm's continuing focus on responsible investment and the evolving expectations of clients.

Ashton joins Equity Trustees from Warakirri Asset Management, where she was a senior business development associate.

Before that, she spent more than ten years working as a senior analyst at JBWere.

In her new role, Ashton will develop expertise and thought leadership in responsible investing, working closely with portfolio managers to help shape how the latest developments in the area reflect Equity Trustees Asset Management's investment strategies.

Darren Thompson, head of asset management at Equity Trustee, said Ashton's appointment supports the trustee's service to clients - including private clients, charitable and not-for-profit organisations.
